Rubrics for Blogging and Multimedia Projects

Rubrics for Blogging and Multimedia Projects

It is always difficult to create rubrics for assessment.
In the collection you will find rubrics for assessing student
blogging, student wikis, podcasts, and video projects.
Beyond the rubrics for digital projects there are rubrics
for activities that aren't necessarily digital in nature.
For example, you can find rubrics for writing, research
and oral presentations.
There are also PDF templates that you can download!

The Interactive ear

The Interactive ear

The Interactive Ear is a neat website through which students can learn about
how the human ear works. The site has three sections; the outer ear, middle
ear, and inner ear. In each section students can click on little pinmarks on the
drawings to learn about the parts of the ear and their functions. Students can
also click the "journey" button to see how sound travels through the ear.

Very cool!!

Worst Jobs in History

Worst Jobs in History

The Worst Jobs in History is a series of three interactive learning experiences
In The Worst Jobs in History students learn about the dirtiest, most dangerous,
and tiring jobs in three time periods.
The time periods are Medieval, Early Modern, and Modern.

In each activity in The Worst Jobs in History students read short descriptions of
jobs and rank them according to how dirty, dangerous, or tiring they think that
they are. After ranking the jobs students can take a short online quiz about what
they read about the jobs. There is also the option to download a worksheet to use
with the activities.

Very Cool!!

International Space Station (ISS), Astronaut

International Space Station (ISS), Astronaut

Welcome to the International Space Station (ISS),
Astronaut. In Station Spacewalk Game you'll experience
the thrill of conducting NASA repair work on the International
Space Station. After negotiating your way through the airlock,
you, the astronaut, will be tasked with jobs critical to help power
up the space station so it can continue to operate. First take your
time to explore the station, but then it's time to get to work.
You'll have to move quickly and carefully, with a limited quantity
of oxygen you must complete your Extravehicular Activities (EVAs)
and get back into the airlock before your air supply runs out.

This video game features simulations of actual EVAs conducted by
NASA astronauts on missions to provide power to the space station.
The graphics used in this game are based on real NASA missions and
incorporate 3D graphics used by the Agency.
