Choosing a Venue for Your Training Program Infographic

Choosing a Venue for Your Training Program Infographic

So often we do not have enough time to organize our space correctly
and we end up looking for a place that is convenient.

Here is a great infographic that covers the steps you need to think of.

Remember who the audience is for the training session
How many people need to be trained, and how soon the training needs to be completed.
Consider if your location has the capacity to hold the event,
Does the facilities match the needs of the training program.
and
if there’s a networking component to the event. (This is so often overlooked!)

It’s also important to know if there will be interruptions for the
program participants and if the content is confidential.

Excellent!

Kahoot online quizzes and surveys

Kahoot online quizzes and surveys

Last week I saw a demonstration of Kahoot.
This is truly amazing!!
I have subsequently created my own quiz and used it to train teachers.
It  is a service for delivering online quizzes and surveys to your learners.
You can create a quiz or survey that your students respond to through
any device that has a web browser (iPad, Android device, Chromebook).
Your Kahoot questions can include pictures and videos.

The learners then go online and type in the randomly generated code
and participate.

BRILLIANT and it is FREE!!

Calmness Counter

Calmness Counter

This incredible tool measures the actual noise level of your classroom
and displays it on a gauge from green to red. It’s a great way to visually
show pupils what level they’re working at compared to your expectations.
You can adjust the sensitivity of the tool to suit the activity for example:
working in silence or large groups.

Brilliant!!

Bouncy Balls

Bouncy Balls

Bouncy Balls shows students the volume of the noise in your classroom by
displaying a set of colorful bouncing balls. The higher the decibel level goes,
the higher and more frequently the balls on the screen bounce.
To use Bouncy Balls simply go to the website, click "begin bouncing,"
and then click the microphone icon to allow the site to access your
computer's microphone.

Very Cool!!
Of course it a boys' school we try and see how high the balls can go ... :-)

Class Charts

Class Charts

Although I have posted this before, there has been some great improvements!!

Class Charts is a free website that lets teachers manage their classroom
seating charts online and add additional information about their students.
Seating charts are an essential tool of any good teacher . They allow
them to organise students into appropriate learning groups as well as
help to minimise behaviour issues. With Class Charts you can also
choose to include and display key data such as SEN or reading age
which can be used to position pupils in the classroom, whatever your
classroom setup.
The seating plans you create in Class Charts can also be used collaboratively
with colleagues to track and analyse student behaviour over time.
The software lets you track both positive and negative points for good/bad
behaviour as well as generate behaviour reports.

Very good!!
