Windows App NovaMind MindMapping

Windows App NovaMind MindMapping

This is a great app that you can use to create mind-maps.

There is a free 'Lite' subscription which does not have everything,
but most of the features that you would use are included.

There are some great video tutorials on how to use the features.
I have included the first one below.

Mindmup

Mindmup

MindMup is a free mind mapping tool that can be used online.
MindMup works like most mind mapping tools in that you can
create a central idea and add child and sibling nodes all over a
blank canvas. MindMup nodes can contain text and links.
When you’re ready to save your MindMup mind map you can
save it to Google Drive, save it to your desktop, or publish it online.
There is now also an offline version of this!!

It also offers an effective way of sharing and presenting.
you can add text, links, pictures and videos.
An important added bonus is the iOS app that makes this tool available on all iDevices.

This is one of the coolest things i have seen in ages!!!

Mind Maps with MindMaple

Mind Maps with MindMaple

Mind mapping can be a very useful tool for students when revising, or when planning a topic or a piece of writing.  The software feels very much like Microsoft Office 2010 with the use of the toolbar ribbon and it was very easy to get started.

bubbl.us

bubbl.us

Bubbl.us is a simple non-elaborate mind mapping tool that is easy to
catch on to, and is useful for a younger class.  It has an attractive colourful look.
A big plus about using this tool with younger classes is that they don't
have to sign up. The mind maps can also be exported as images such
as JPEGS. Students  start with an idea and flesh it out by inserting
ideas into bubbles. The bubbles can then be connected and color
coded giving a visual representation of the connections between ideas.
