Human-Powered Helicopter

Human-Powered Helicopter

Although this happened in June of 2013, I stumbled across this today and I was really
impressed with it.  There was Sikorsky Human Powered Helicopter Competition that
started in 1980.  The requirements to win the AHS Sikorsky Prize included a flight duration
of 60 seconds and reaching an altitude of 3 meters, with the center point of the aircraft
hovering over a 10-by-10 meter square.

AeroVelo, comprising students and graduates of the University of Toronto won it on
the 13 June of this year!!
