Thinglink

ThingLink is a free tool for creating interactive images. To create an interactive
image upload an image from your computer to your ThingLink account.
After uploading the image you can add pins to the image.
Each pin that you add to your image can include a video clip, a link to another
site, a block of text, or another image. You can make your images collaborative
by allowing others to add pins to the image. Images can be embedded into
blog posts for students to view and or add their own pins.

I have been using Maths Blaster in my class for years.  There is now a free
online version of this!  The message to Math Blaster’s is clear:  “Your

With a space/alien theme, Math Blaster’s lets your students become
intergalactic heros based on their math operation and critical thinking skills.
Registration is required, but the game itself is free.  Be sure to check out the

The 6 types of questions your learners need to know about

The 6 types of questions your learners need to know about

Learning is all about asking questions and finding answers to them.
Make it one of your goals that students should be able to ask different
questions to demonstrate their learning. Teach them about the different
types of questions and when each can be used and let them practice them
all along the way.
Have a look at the graphic above for the different question types and
when you can use them.

A good visual featuring 6 assessment types

A good visual featuring 6 assessment types

Assessments are a key component of all education systems and play
a critical role in a student's learning journey. By measuring student
achievement and skill mastery, assessments help students learn,
teachers improve instruction, administrators decide how to allocate
resources, and policy makers evaluate the efficacy of education programs.

There are 6 types of assessments: diagnostic, formative, summative,
norm-referenced, criterion-referenced, and finally interim/ benchmark.
